Opinion on Yaoi in Death NoteIT CAN'T HAPPEN.
I love Mello/Near dearly, but honestly, I don't believe it can happen unless there are slight twists in the characters' personalities and behaviors. Same with any other pairing. None of them are concerned with sex. I can't understand how people are so blinded by their slash goggles that they believe it actually really happened in the series or whatnot. It's simply not in character.
I've roleplayed Near for 2 years and have in that time, explored his personality and behaviors in depth. I have played ~12 Nears in various roleplays and almost just as many Mellos, maybe even more. I have never seen it happen before, while doing my best to stay in character. It can't happen unless something drastic occurs to either of them, which makes it an Alternate Universe to begin with. Therefore, I don't think it can possibly be canon.
I wholeheartedly approve of
's contest. There is more to a relationship in Death Note than teh buttsmex. I believe a high percentage of people on this website can't understand that. I urge those people to take a psychology course when they get the chance.
